February 2026 Reading Prompts
It’s time for a new set of pop-up prompts. These are for anyone who needs a little nudge when deciding what to read each month, or for readers who want an extra challenge throughout the year.
Prompt #1: Read a book about a doomed relationship
Sure it’s the month of love, but let’s tip it on its head. Read a book featuring a relationship that is doomed from the start.
Prompt #2: Read an anti-love/romance book
Read a book about a person finding independence, making bad love decisions, or who’s decided that love can eff all the way off.
Here are a few other suggestions:
- How to Say Goodbye in Robot by Natalie Standiford
- All Fours by Miranda July
- Really Good, Actually by Monica Heisey
- Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert
- Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail by Cheryl Strayed
- The Bookish Life of Nina Hill by Abbi Waxman
