October 2026 Reading Prompts

It’s time for a new set of pop-up prompts. These are for anyone who needs a little nudge when deciding what to read each month, or for readers who want an extra challenge throughout the year.



Prompt #1: Read a book with a classic monster reimagined

Pick a book that takes a classic folklore monster—like a vampire, werewolf, zombies, or Frankenstein’s creation—and updates the mythology.

This could be a fun, quirky paranormal romance, or something where the witch is evil and dangerous.
