August 2025 Reading Wrap-up and September Hopefuls
This month was a mixed bag for me, reading-wise. There were several books that I didn’t expect to like as much as I did, and others that really disappointed me, and even others still that I really loved.
I read 19 books. A few were under 300 pages, which definitely helped boost my numbers and several were either audio-only or I tandem read, switching between audio and physical.
Here’s how everything stacked up this month:

Month ahead:
I still have so many ARCs to get through for September releases. I really stretched myself thin on that front. Lesson learned! (But did I really?). Here’s what is on my priority list for the month ahead.
In addition to the books pictured above, I also hope to read the following:
- The Magician’s Assistant by Ann Patchett (2025 reading prompt)
- It Had to be Him by Adib Khorram (ARC)
- Christmas People by Iva-Marie Palmer (ARC)
- October Film Haunt by Michael Wehunt (ARC)
- Such Sharp Teeth by Rachel Harrison (for my 25 in 2025 TBR challenge)
- The Possession of Alba Diaz by Isabel Cañas (to fit a reading prompt)
